Bribery officials are common in Nigerian roads. Despite fears of the social media and of consequences, they keep doing their business. A fresh example appeared on April 6, 2014, Sunday.
The footage below was taken at the popular Ojota Bus stop in Lagos. It shows how officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) coerce drivers to part with bribes.

Women entrepreneurs in Nigeria face a host of cultural and institutional hurdles they must negotiate on their way to success. Despite these obstacles, women are thriving because they are learning from each other’s lessons and listening to voices of those who have gone before them.Entrepreneurs need to be encouraged. It is not easy to start and sustain a business in places like Lagos. Building a sustainable business in Nigeria is not easy. Entrepreneurs should know how the system works so that they can survive this challenging and difficult terrain.
Early this year, the AWP Network convened a roundtable of young women entrepreneurs in Lagos, Nigeria, to discuss some of the challenges they face.
These women identified five (5) key areas that need the urgent attention of policy makers to systematically transform the environment for small businesses as well as help to reduce the cost associated with doing business in Nigeria:
Tax credits and incentives to support small businesses
Reliable electricity and broadband Internet connections
Lower and competitive interest rates on loan products
More skilled workers

Relatives of a nine-month-old baby charged with attempted murder in Pakistan have taken him into hiding, a relative said on Tuesday, in a case that has thrown a spotlight on Pakistan's dysfunctional criminal justice system.

Mohammad Musa Khan appeared in court in the city of Lahore last week, charged with attempted murder along with his father and grandfather after a mob protesting against gas cuts and price increases stoned police and gas company workers trying to collect overdue bills.

I Am Not Fighting With Kennis Music, I Just Decided To Leave Them - Jaywon


Popular Nigerian Musician Jaywon has decided to leave Kennis Music to pursue his own way in making music.
Rumours have been going around for sometime now that Jaywon and his bosses Keke and D1 are not in good terms but in a recent interview with Nigezie he explained all.
He debuked the allegations that he was not in good terms with his former management and that it was just the right time to create his own brand.
He said:‘I feel this is the best time for me to actually be on my own. I appreciate Kennis Music and will always do. Kennis did it for me and I’m grateful for that but the thing is my contract expired and I need to move on’.
Jaywon real name is Oluwajuwonlo and is also known as Shigga and Holy talk, He hails from the yoruba speaking part of Kogi state and finished his secondary school in illorin and polytechnic at Bida Niger state.
Jaywon met Kenny Ogungbe in Kuramo during a show after he made a song with hit maker Konga.
He said that After God and his Mom the next person he respects is Kenny for believing in him.

Former wrestling star 'The Ultimate Warrior' dies at 54


 
One of the most iconic wrestlers of all time, James Brian Hellwig, popularly known as The Ultimate Warrior, has died at the age of 54, days after being inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame.

According to TMZ, Warrior collapsed yesterday evening April 8th while walking to his car with his wife in Arizona outside of their hotel. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

When he was added to the Hall of Fame on April 5th, Ultimate Warrior said "One day everyone must breath his last. And at that time, all that would matter would be what you had done while you were breathing. That's what keeps your legacy living..."



He is survived by his wife and two daughters. May his soul rest in peace...amen.
