Fuji Musician Obesere arrested after lady claims he raped & inserted a ring inside her

According to Vanguard ....Popular Fuji musician,  Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, has been arrested  by the Police in Lagos State for allegedly raping a 29-year-old business woman, Miss Olanike Olaiya in his Okota residence, Lagos.
The victim, who took the matter to the Police, also narrated her ordeal in the hands of the musician whose shows generally fascinate society women.

According to Olaiya, a  National Diploma graduate of business administration from Ibadan Polytechnic....

Pastor arrested for raping church member ‘to cleanse her of bad luck’

A policeman who is also a practicing pastor has been arrested and charged to court on charges of rape and corruption in South Africa.
According to a police spokesman, Moses Dlamini, the pastor was said to have raped his victim a 26-year old woman on February 1.
It was gathered that the woman had gone to the pastor’s house at Seshego Zone 5 to seek help with personal problems.
 

Naval Officer Damages Policeman’s Eye With Car Key During Argument

LAGOS — A naval officer, Master Warrant Officer Unaji Benjamin Enejor, has been alleged to have inflicted serious injury on the right eye of Police Inspector Emmanuel Nbillah with his car key at Kirikiri area of Lagos state.
This happened during a mild argument that ensued after the naval officer rammed his car into the Police officer’s wife’s store.
The naval officer, attached to Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, with service number M4351, was reportedly driving his Honda Shuttle car with  number plate LSR 34 CE along Akere Street in Kirikiri when it veered off the road and rammed into a restaurant belonging to the wife of the policeman, attached to the State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
Vanguard learnt that the Police Inspector and his wife, who were sitting close to the store, escaped death by the whiskers as the wall of the store was damaged.

Aftermath Of Boko Haram Massacre In Yobe State

 

 

Yobe State - In the early hours of Tuesday, February 25, Boko Haram militants stormed the Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Gujba LGA of Yobe State.
The set the students’ dormitories on fire and slit the throats of those who tried to escape.
“Some of the students bodies were burned to ashes,” said police commissioner Sanusi Rufai, adding 24 staff quarters, including the administrative block of the college and students’ hostel, were razed by the fire.
Meanwhile, death toll from the school massacre by Boko Haram gunmen has risen to 43. According to a senior medical source at the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital in Damaturu, Yobe State, so far the ambulances have brought 43 bodies to the morgue.
Military spokesman in Yobe State Eli Lazarus disclosed that at around 2 a.m., suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked a students’ hostel at the Federal Government College, a school for students aged 11 to 18 in the town of Buni Yadi.
It was gathered that the assailants arrived in 6 Toyota Hilux pickup trucks and motorcycles.
Adamu Garba, who teaches at a secondary school attached to the college, said the attackers first set ablaze the college administrative block, then moved to the hostels, locking the students in before starting fire. Garba says those who tried to escape out of the windows had their throats slit by the terrorists. Those who remained inside were burnt alive.
The military has already been dispatched to the area.
Yobe State Governor Ibrahim Geidam’s spokesman says soldiers guarding a checkpoint near the school mysteriously withdrew hours before the attack.
The governor visited the deserted remains of Federal Government College at Buni Yadi, a secondary school, and was told the soldiers withdrew Monday.
The latest attack is the fourth recorded on schools in Yobe State. GSS Damaturu, GSS Mamudo and College of Agriculture, Gujba were attacked last year.
Yobe, together with Borno and Adamawa States, has been under emergency rule since May 2013 to help the military to curb the Boko Haram activities

Jonathan is incompetent, says Kwankwaso

Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso yesterday described President Goodluck Jonathan as an incompetent leader.
He spoke at the Progressive Governors Forum lecture in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The governor was responding to comments by suspended Central Bank Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi at the weekend that Jonathan is a simple man that means well but who is surrounded by incompetent aides.
Kwankwanso said his response to that comment is an English adage: “Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.”
He said the APC would dethrone the PDP next year.

Jama’atu Ahlis Sunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, also known as Boko Haram, Imam Abubakar Shekau, on Wednesday released a video in which he claimed responsibility for the killing of popular Zaria-based cleric, Sheikh Auwal Albani.
“We killed Albani of Zaria. We killed Albani of Zaria. Shekau killed Albani of Zaria”, the Boko Haram leader said in the 28-minute long video clip.
Shekau also vowed that his fighters would soon blow off oil installations in the Niger Delta.
In the video, Shekau is seen dressed in military fatigue and wearing a turban.
The location appears to be a bush dotted with scanty vegetation, and he climbs an armoured tank and thereafter alights again while dozens of his men stand by and keep firing gunshots from rifles mounted on Hilux trucks.
“My brothers…you should hold on to your weapons and continue fighting. Let them understand that our work is not confined to Yobe, Borno and Adamawa”, he said.

Sad: Nigerian student in Ghana gets murdered

The Nigerian student community in Ghana are presently in a pensive mood as one of them, Godwin Ayogu, a 300-level student at the University of Cape Coast, was said to have been murdered.
Reports say Eze, whose parents live around the Ketu area of Lagos, was last seen on Tuesday afternoon before his body was later found by the roadside.
Police in the West African country have, however, promised to fish out the killers of the victim who was said to have been planning a trip to Nigeria to visit his parents before the unfortunate incident.

Jonathan’s main problem, by axed CBN boss Sanusi

Suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi yesterday described President Goodluck Jonathan as a simple man trying to do well but undermined by” incompetent and fraudulent aides”.
Sanusi, widely respected by economists in Nigeria and abroad, was suspended by the President last Thursday over alleged financial misconduct. He denied any wrongdoing.
Sanusi accused the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) of failing to account for $20 billion, an allegation that is being probed by the government. The NNPC denied that any cash is missing.
In an interview with the French news agency (AFP) in Lagos, Sanusi said many of the people advising Jonathan are sycophants who do not speak frankly about the extent of corruption in the government.
“When you sit with President Jonathan himself, he appears a nice, simple person who is trying to do his best,” Sanusi said, adding: “His greatest failing obviously is that he is surrounded by people who are extremely incompetent, who are extremely fraudulent and whom he trusts.”
When Sanusi was removed, just four months before his tenure was set to expire, analysts voiced concern that Jonathan was seeking to sideline an increasingly vocal critic of his administration’s record on corruption.

Cossy Orjiakor Opens Up About Her Accident

Days back, it was reported that Cossy Orjiakor was involved in a car accident.
She was said to be driving on high speed before her car swerved into a ditch.
Recounting what happened, Cossy said she was on her way to a fan a reward, for answering the question she asked on her Twitter page.
According to her, she was not driving on high speed.
"I thank God it was not too serious and I was not injured. I was on my way to drop off a gift for a fan who got a question right on my twitter handle. I didn't know the ditch was deep until my jeep fell inside. Thank God, I was the only one inside. I tried to get a truck to pull it out but it took a bit of time. I guess that was when some people took the picture.

"The bumper was affected likewise the passenger’s seat. My mechanic had to work on those sides, that was all. “It is good to trust in God. I know He is a good God. I am really grateful to Him, it wasn't something that was very serious. We should always rely on God and put Him first," she said.

Disqualification and cessation of appointment.

11. – (1) A person shall not remain a Governor, Deputy Governor or Director of the Bank if he is -

(a) a member of any Federal or State legislative house; or

(b) a Director, officer or employee of any bank licensed under the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act.
